Who Looks Most Alike? A Family Caricature in Insadong | Beautiful Caricature

Holidays bring more time with family: parents, siblings, cousins and children gather, and a familiar conversation often begins. “She really looks like her mum!” “No, that smile is just like his dad's!” When everyone is together, family resemblances suddenly become easier to notice.
The similarities become even more fun in a drawing
When drawing a family caricature, the artist looks closely at each person's features. The eyes when someone smiles, a hairstyle, glasses or the shape of a mouth can reveal the little details relatives share.
After the picture is finished, family members sometimes compare the faces and laugh: “Mother and daughter really do look alike!” or “Dad and son have the same eyes!” Some look at the portrait of the person next to them before their own. Those moments make us smile too.
One family, many different charms
Resemblances are only part of the story. One person's smiling eyes may stand out, another person's hairstyle becomes the main feature, while someone else is remembered for a bright expression.
